From Tasmanian farmland to Cornish gardens.
I'm Levi Quilliam, a gardener and landscaper based near Newquay, Cornwall. I swapped spreadsheets for secateurs and brought the same attention to detail I learned in accounting and sales into every garden I work on. The difference is, now I can actually see the results at the end of the day.

Why I left the office to work in your garden.
I grew up on a farm in Tasmania, Australia, where working outdoors was just part of life. After school I studied economics, then spent years working in accounting and sales. I was decent at it, but at the end of a long day all I had to show for it was a spreadsheet I'd spent six hours building.
Gardening was always the thing I came back to. Six hours in a garden and you can completely transform the way someone feels about their outdoor space. Same amount of time as a day at the desk, completely different level of satisfaction. I'd been thinking about starting a garden maintenance business for over five years before I finally made the leap.
When I moved to Cornwall in 2025, it felt like the right time. I settled near Newquay and the landscapes here convinced me I'd made the right call. Mild winters that keep things growing almost year-round, rugged coastline, and communities that genuinely value their outdoor spaces. I started Quilliams Gardening & Landscaping and haven't looked back.
Cornwall's climate brings its own challenges that I've learned to work with. Salt-laden winds near the coast mean choosing hardy, wind-tolerant plants. The mild, wet winters keep lawns growing well into November but also encourage moss and weed growth. Clay-heavy soils in areas like Truro need proper drainage, while the sandy soils closer to the coast drain almost too well. Every garden here has its own character, and that's what makes the work interesting.
Grew up working the land in Tasmania. Hard graft and attention to detail are second nature.
The final 10% is what people notice. Paths cleared, edges sharp, clippings gone.
I understand coastal winds, clay soils, and the year-round growing season that makes Cornwall different.
- Straight-talking quotes with no hidden extras. I'll tell you exactly what's included and what it costs.
- An enthusiastic gardener who genuinely loves this work. You'll always see a big grin.
- A properly finished job with paths cleared, clippings handled, and a clean site when I leave.
- Respect for your property with gates, access, pets, and neighbours always considered.
Everything I do is built around the experience you get, from the first message to the final blow-down. I'm not the cheapest gardener in Cornwall, but I think you'll notice the difference. My favourite jobs are the big messy clearances. They have the biggest visual impact, make the biggest difference to the customer, and I can justify skipping the gym that day.
